Congratulations to the March member of the month electrical engineering student and Yellow Jacket Marching Band trombonist, Brooke Lancaster!

Every month the Campus Recreation Complex (CRC) selects a new member of the month. Members of the month recognize an awesome member who embodies the spirit of the CRC and Georgia Tech and inspires their peers. Congratulations to the March member of the month electrical engineering student and Yellow Jacket Marching Band trombonist, Brooke Lancaster!

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

My name is Brooke Lancaster and I am a first-year electrical engineering student from Woodstock, GA. When I’m not at the CRC or in class, I’m playing trombone in the Georgia Tech marching band. I also like to volunteer at the Hive which is the electrical engineering maker space.

How long have you been a member of the CRC?

I have been going to the CRC for a little less than a year now. I’ve been a member of the CRC since August 2018.

Where are we most likely to find you in the CRC? What is your favorite part of the CRC?

You’re most likely to find me lifting weights on the first floor of the CRC with my roomie Katie. We always go to the gym at 5:30 am Monday-Friday. I love starting out my day with a good workout.

Which dimension of wellness do you feel most connected to while engaging with the CRC (professional, spiritual, social, physical, or emotional)?

I feel most connected to the social dimension of wellness. Working out has really brought me and my roomie together.

What is your most fun CRC story?

Once my roomie and I almost fell asleep on the mats on the first floor. We planned out a difficult ab workout and it really got to us.

We are now excepting nominations for the next member of the month! Members receive an embroidered CRC gym bag and a feature on the website and social media. If you or someone you know should be featured tell us why at crc.gatech.edu/members.
